We are incredibly proud to be celebrating our best ever month at Grange Mortgages. In June we completed on just over 125 mortgage cases, which equated to more than £25 Million pounds worth of lending. This signalled not only our best ever month for completed cases but was also coupled with record breaking figures for new business written, so signs for the future housing market are looking very encouraging.
We began operating in January 2005 and it’s been a pretty tumultuous journey, both internally and externally. Riding out the storm of the biggest financial sea change since World War 2, has been the greatest challenge of almost every organisation over the past decade. But turmoil and tumult create seeds of opportunity, particularly for growing businesses and a service-led strategy is now baring strong fruit for us. The key to our success has been twofold. Firstly, to differentiate service levels versus those found at high street banks with a highly trained team of both consultants and administrators, ready to offer assistance and answer queries seven days a week. The accessibility levels here are very high, the barriers to entry very low. The second factor is the strong relationships we have forged with construction companies in the new build sector, and the knowledge we have of new build mortgages. The demand for housing has created a requirement for quick turnaround times for mortgage applications, something Grange Mortgages does as usual business practice. And the government’s Help to Buy Scheme has created an opportunity for buyers to get on the property ladder. The industry moves quickly and we move quickly with it. We are a team of 20. And the importance of “team” cannot be underestimated. Every mortgage applicant has their own expert consultant and dedicated administrator to oversee the case. Our admin team create a seamless journey for clients so that you are informed through every stage of the process. Too often with high street banks the mortgage application process feels as though it stagnates and customers are left wondering what’s going on. We fix that issue and involve our clients in each of the stages of the process.
Our growth has been almost entirely organic. We are delighted that we get referred as regularly as we do by customers who have worked with us. It is testament to the great service levels we aspire to deliver. And we have numerous customers who return to us time and again when they are looking to move house, or need an insurance product, or any other financial service that we offer.
